Terms of service.
By using citeOS (the platform at citeos.io) you agree to these terms. They're written in plain English on purpose. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
What citeOS does
citeOS runs AI citation audits — we query ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Mode with category-relevant prompts and report whether and how the AI cites your brand. Paid tiers add content generation, share-of-voice trending, openings analysis, and a weekly memo.
Your responsibilities
- Submit only domains you own, are authorized to audit, or are publicly available competitor data. We don't allow scraping private or paywalled content through citeOS.
- Don't use citeOS to harass, defame, or impersonate other brands.
- Use any generated content responsibly. AI content can contain inaccuracies — review before publishing as your own.
- Keep your account credentials secure. If your account is compromised, tell us at sagar@citeos.io.
Pricing + payment
- Free audit — one-time, no payment, ~3 of 20 insights unlocked.
- Audit Plus — $299 one-time. Unlocks the full forensic report for that audit + 30-min strategy call + Day-30 free re-scan.
- Concierge — $999 / month. Audit Plus + ongoing monitoring + weekly memo + content generation + share-of-voice trending.
- Retainer — $2,999+ / month. Concierge + bespoke deliverables.
Payments are processed via NOWPayments (crypto). Subscription payments renew monthly until cancelled. Cancel anytime from your account — access continues to the end of the billing period.
Refunds
If something's broken on our end, we refund. Email sagar@citeos.io within 30 days of payment with the issue and we'll review case by case. Refunds for crypto payments are sent back in stablecoin (USDT) at the spot rate — we can't always send back the same coin you paid with.
Service availability
We aim for 99% uptime on the dashboard and 95% successful completion on audits. AI engines occasionally throttle us or change their APIs without notice — when an engine is unreachable we log it and continue with the remaining engines. We don't guarantee a specific score, citation rate, or outcome.
Intellectual property
- You own your audit data. The score, the cited URLs, the snippets — yours.
- You own the content we generate for you. Use it however you want.
- We own the platform. The scoring methodology, prompt seed library, dashboard code, and brand assets remain Emergence Media's.
Disclaimers
citeOS is a research and strategy tool. Outputs are estimates, not guarantees. AI engines are inherently non-deterministic — the same prompt run twice can return different answers. We don't represent or warrant that any specific outcome (more citations, higher score, more traffic) will result from using citeOS.
Nothing on citeOS constitutes legal, financial, or marketing advice. The Concierge call is a strategy conversation, not a regulated advisory service.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to citeOS is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. We're not liable for indirect damages (lost profits, lost opportunities, reputational harm) — those are inherent to using a research tool.
Termination
You can stop using citeOS anytime. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms (scraping, harassment, fraud) with reasonable notice except where the conduct requires immediate action.
Changes
We'll post material changes here with a new "Last updated" date. Significant changes (pricing, feature removal) get an email to paid subscribers.
Jurisdiction
citeOS is operated by Emergence Media, registered in Gurgaon, India. Disputes are governed by Indian law, but we'll try to resolve any issue informally before either side resorts to a court.
